Self-regulating heating cable 11W/m
The self-regulating heating cable 11W/m EHEAT® WATER is intended for use for the protection of water pipes from freezing, both inside and outside of the pipes in temperatures up to +65C. The self limiting heating cable reacts to the ambient temperature and adjusts its output power accordingly. The heating cable is certified for drinking water! For in-pipe installation, the heating cable insertion nipple must be purchased separately. The most energy-saving solution can always be achieved with a thermostat. Read about it below.
The drum has 300m
The price is 6.20/1m
The self-regulating water pipe heating cable is easy to install:
The advantage of installing a self-regulating heating cable is that it can be precisely cut to size on the construction site and branched if necessary. The self-regulating water pipe heating cable with a power of 11W/m is intended for installation on a orinary water pipe or a sewer pipe. The heating cable is fixed with aluminum tape all over the pipe, under the insulation without fear of overheating. This self regulating heating cable is not suitable for use in rainwater gutters because it lacks UV protection and the power of the heating cable in rainwater gutters must be significantly higher.
The self-regulating defrosting cable and its accessories are CE certified for installation in the drinking water pipe.
The heating cable is often used for heating water pipelines and sprinkler systems, as it is easy to cut the cable and, if necessary, also branch it exactly as needed.
Self-regulating heating cable 11W/m technical data:
The heating cable is meter marked
Dimensions 7.0 x 4.6 mm
The water pipe heating cable can withstand the ambient temperature of up to +65°C when switched on.
The lowest installation temperature of the heating cable is -10°C
Minimum bending radius 25mm
Supply voltage 230V
Output power installed on the pipe 11W/m at +10°C in a dry environment
The MAX heating cable length is 100m, if the heating cable is installed in a dry environment, for example under the insulation on top of the pipe, and 60m, if the heating cable is installed inside the water pipe and the size of the circuit breaker is 10A.
How does the self-regulating heating cable work? :
The self-regulating water pipe heating cable changes its meter power due to the temperature of the surrounding environment, but it never switches itself off permanently. As can be seen from the technical data, the heating cable has a meter power of 11W/m at +10C degrees in a dry environment, but the heating cable could have already switched off if the pipe temperature is above +3C degrees. Consequently, even with self-regulating heating cables, we always recommend using a temperature regulator to achieve the greatest possible energy savings. According to experience, the self-regulating cable maintains a temperature of approx. +40°C in an insulated pipe without a thermostat.
NB! Also in the case of plastic water pipes, they should never be allowed to freeze, because when the water freezes, it expands up to approx. 9%, which means that if the plastic pipe itself doesn’t burst, the ice can most likely push the joints and branches of the pipe open, which causes water leaks!
The maximum permissible heating cable length according to the selected circuit breaker and switch-on temperature:
Item | Circuit breaker with characteristic C | +10°C | 0°C | -10°C |
Self limiting Water 11W/m | 10A | 125m | 116m | 102m |
Self limiting Water 11W/m | 16A | 205m | 167m | 143m |
